Lots of interesting little tidbits of information that you might not have known about Miss Isabel Lucas.

• Isabel is of Swiss origin on her mother’s side.

• Isabel speaks Swiss German and German. She learnt Russian for her movie The Wedding Party, and wants to learn French.

• She studied drama at the Victorian College of Arts, and the Queensland University of Technology.

• Isabel loves animals, and on her family’s estate in North Queensland they have lots of animals, including birds, guinea pigs, horses, dogs and cats. Her Silky Terrier Maltese Cross dog is called Silky and her horse is named Tiki.

• Says her Aboriginal best friend taught her about “bush tucker” whilst she was living in Jabiru in the Kakadu National Park.

• Has been involved in anti-whaling protests, and there is even a warrant out for her arrest in Japan.

• Isabel was the passenger in Shia LaBeouf’s car when he had a highly publicised crash in July 2008. She escaped with only scratches and bruises, but he had a crushed hand that required surgery. The vehicle that hit them was doing 70mph and had run a red light.

• Isabel can do Salsa, Club/Freestyle, jazz and belly dancing.

• Isabel can tap dance.

• She can play the guitar and sing.

• Enjoys swimming, yoga and equestrian.

• Isabel has undertaken combat and stunt training, and accent training.

• Isabel and Adrien Grenier were voted one of InStyle’s “Greenest Hollywood Couples” in 2008.

• Is good friends with Hannah Fraser. Is also friends with Megan Gale and Teresa Palmer.

• It is commonly thought that Isabel is best friends with Elissa Sursara, but in a 2009 interview with Examiner.com, Isabel said that they have never even met!

• Friends with Emile Hirsch. She introduced him to the Summit On The Summit Kilimanjaro climb project in 2009.

• Is very good friends with the musician Kenna, and he considers her practically family.

• Her favorite food and drink are artichokes, spaghetti bolognaise, and mineral water.

• Her favorite color is ocean-blue.

• She used to own a horse as a child and loves riding. She’s been riding for over 10 years, and has even competed in dressage and show jumping.

• Isabel has been on the cover of numerous magazine in Australia, including Total Girl, Crème, TV Week, Girlfriend, TV Guide, Dolly, and Girl Power. Was featured in the 2007 February edition of the Australian girl’s magazine Disney Girl.

• Appeared in an American television commercial for Crest toothpaste.

• Calls herself a “wild bush child”!

• Rumoured to have dated Jared Leto and Zach Braff.

• Had dated Chris Hemsworth, Adrien Grenier and George Byrne.

• Isabel is a vegetarian/vegan – she says that she doesn’t drink milk but that she does eat eggs. She supplements with vitamins, minerals, iron, wheatgrass shots and nuts.

• Became a vegetarian after watching the documentary Earthlings at the home of Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis.

• Doesn’t like gyms – prefers to be outside “with nature and wind”.

• Wanted to be a vet she was a child. Also considered being a circus-rider, gypsy, singer and teacher!

• Says that she doesn’t keep up with trends and fashion, and doesn’t like shopping centres. She prefers to shop at markets.

• When she was younger Isabel wanted to be a gypsy, a circus rider, a singer, a vet, or a teacher. Has always wanted to save animals.

• Isabel is known for being a big animal lover, but she’s not so keen on spiders! She says that she leaves them alone and they leave her alone!

• If she could be one other person for a day it would be the Dalai Lama, so she could “feel what it’s like to hold so much wisdom.”

• If she wasn’t human, Isabel would like to be a bird or a whale.

• Started to learn skateboarding and surfing when she moved to Sydney.

• Doesn’t wear leather unless it’s thrift.

• Designed a recycled-timber, solar-paneled house in Australia back in 2008, just before she moved to LA.

• Before she’s 30, Isabel wants to live in New York, Berlin, and Barcelona, make documentaries, sell her paintings, and study Jungian psychology.

• Before being introduced to acting, Isabel considered careers in fine arts, and natural therapies.

• Took singing lessons as a child.

• In late 2010/early 2011 Isabel spent a month on her own in an ashram in India where she read, wrote, and studied ayurvedic medicine.

• Says that Shia LaBeouf is one of her closest friends in Hollywood, and he helps her catch up on old films because he’s got such a big film collection! Isabel specifically mentioned that they’ve watched Elephant Man, Raging Bull and Last Tango In Paris.

• Wants to work with actor Daniel Day Lewis, and director Michel Gondry, because she thinks they’re both “extraordinary”.

• One of Isabel’s greatest ambitions is to make documentaries, as they are “a wonderful way to get awareness out there.”

• Always carries crystals with her.

• For her 10th birthday she and her family went out on a big boat to Moore Reef in the Great Barrier Reef. It was here that she became aware of the “magical underwater land” that is the ocean. She also learnt at this time that only 1 percent of Australia’s Coral Sea is protected.

• Isabel said she enjoyed visiting Notting Hill, “beautiful” Hyde Park and Brighton when she visited England in 2006.

• Isabel would most like to have a screen kiss with James Dean, if he was still alive!

• Back in 2006 the most famous person she had ever met was Australian musician, environmentalist, activist and politician Peter Garrett.

• Said in 2006 that she and her friends had talked about the idea of being on Big Brother, but Isabel likes her privacy too much – “I always talk about the idea with friends but I like to have my privacy and sometimes I feel overexposed with this job as it is.”

• Isabel’s go to karoke song would be “probably a Grease song, like Summer Nights”, although she hasn’t sung it yet, it’s what she would do if she had to!

• In 2011 admitted to Tatler magazine that she has written some songs and is learning to play the guitar, and does play together with Angus!

• At her ASOS photoshoot in 2011 she asked whether she could put some Angus and Julia Stone music on the stereo!

• Isabel does not own a TV, because she says it does not make her feel good. She watches films on a giant projector on the wall.
