Support Sea Shepherd

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd could not think of a more brave, passionate and dedicated activist and friend of the whales, than Isabel Lucas, also known for her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Isabel has stepped up for duty for the oceans numerous times, including raising international awareness by attempting to stop annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan in 2007.

Isabel Quoted
"I love art. I always loved creative art-all of those arty subjects at school like painting, sketching, anything like that. Also music - I love guitar and I've had singing lessons. I'm now learning to skateboard and I am learning some moves now. I have also never been surfing, but I want to. "

As Isabel is becoming more and more famous and popular, in both Australia and America, she is being linked to more film projects. Some of these rumours are just that, and never progress to actually happening. Here are those projects – the ones that Isabel’s name has been attached to, but have never happened.

Somewhere – In May 2009 Isabel was reported to be in the running to star in Sofia Coppola’s new movie, Somewhere. Sources say Isabel met with Sofia to discuss the film. Somewhere is about “a hard-living hollywood actor who re-examines his life after a visit from his 11-year-old daughter”, with Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning cast as the father and daughter. Sofia Coppola, who would write and direct the project, has previously worked wonders with other young actresses Kirsten Dunst and Scarlett Johansson. Nothing materialised from these rumours, and the film has since been made and was released at the end of 2010. Coincidentally, Isabel actually attended the Los Angeles premiere of the film in December 2010, and has since worked with Stephen Dorff in Immortals!

Acolytes – It was reported that Isabel auditioned for a role in this Australian thriller, but for unknown reasons, her involvement in this project did not materialise. Josh Payne, who won a role in the film said he did a screen test with a number of young actors, including Isabel, and that they were all suitably nervous. The film, about three teens who blackmail a serial killer and are consequently lured into his violent world, went ahead with Jon Hewitt directing and Joel Edgerton, Michael Dorman and Sebastian Gregory starring. It was released in 2008. Trivia fans will be interested to know that Isabel has since worked with all 3 lead male actors – Joel Edgerton in The Waiting City (plus, she dated him), Michael Dorman in Daybreakers, and Sebastian Gregory in A Heartbeat Away!

A Girl And A Gun – Isabel was linked to this drama-romance movie in 2009, with her name attached to the part of Anna. Filip Jan Rymsza was named as the writer and director, and Christopher Walken and Luis Guzmán were also starring. The film’s synopsis read as: “A grunt runner for a powerful Los Angeles ‘businessman’ meets an aspiring actress who, having just stepped off the bus from Kansas, was robbed of her entire life savings. Seizing the opportunity, the runner poses as a Hollywood film producer in order to recover the money for himself, but he doesn’t count on falling in love with her,” and was based on the quote “All you need for a movie is a girl and a gun” by Jean-Luc Godard. Isabel’s name was removed from the IMDB page for this film in March 2010.

Rights Revoked – Isabel’s name was once linked to this animal rights documentary. Isabel was said to be working on it with her ‘best friend’ Elissa Sursara, to explore the links between animals and fashion, cosmetics, food and entertainment. In August 2009 it was reported that Isabel had dropped out of this project because she fell out with Elissa. However, in a December 2009 interview Isabel stated that the stories surrounding her involvement in this project were false, she wasn’t involved, and that she had never even met Elissa!

The After Killer – In 2004/5 rumours circled that Isabel would star alongside Josh Hartnett in this thriller about a group of medical students who are hunted down by a killer after they let one of their patients die. Isabel was said to be playing Nicole Hutchinson, with Kevin Zegers and Haylie Duff also rumoured to be starring. Steve Miner was named as the director. However, in a 2005 interview Isabel stated that she had heard these rumours but they were not true.
